Our Doctors: Paul Dlugopolski, DVM |
Jenna Sing, D.V.M.
Dr. Jenna is one of the newest vets at the Athens Veterinary Service. She is originally from the little town of Crookston in northwestern Minnesota, but due to relatively few dairies in that part of the world, she has moved south and east. Dr. Jenna attended North Dakota State University in Fargo for her bachelor’s degree in Zoology. As a junior in college, she realized that whereas it would be impossible to be a wildlife manager and practice veterinary medicine on the side, it was definitely feasible to do it the other way around. So, the long journey through vet school started. Dr. Jenna graduated from the University Of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She practiced in Grantsburg, WI until fall of 2008 and started in Athens in February 2009. Although her primary focus is dairy medicine and preventive herd health (and despite her “smallish” stature), Dr. Jenna enjoys working on all large animals. In her free time, Dr. Jenna enjoys being outside doing pretty much anything: fishing, hiking, camping, biking, canoeing, and recently gardening. Otherwise, she is usually curled up with a good book. She also loves spending time with her “family” which includes Darwin, a Beagle, Oakley, a pointer-mutt-devil-mix, and her three cats, Tequila, Fletcher, and Holstein. She misses her Appaloosas, which live with her parents, and looks forward to someday having her own “funny farm” with horses, a mini burro, a mini cow, pygmy goats, chickens, etc, etc. |
