Athens Veterinary Service is proud to begin offering Beekeeping consultations and services!

Beekeeping has become increasingly popular among hobbyists as an adjunct to homesteading ventures. Just like any livestock, honeybees and their owners need veterinary assistance from time to time. Our Doctors will assist with hive and queen inspections, help monitor for disease processes, perform mite checks and treatments, and write veterinary feed directives if antibiotics are warranted. Our focus is on client education, but we're happy to perform hive inspections routinely, similar to the herd checks our other production animals employ.
