Business Manager

Jeannie has been with the Athens Veterinary Service since 1987. She started out as the only employee assisting in the lab, office, and with surgical procedures. Jeannie is currently the business manager.




Office Manager/HR, Advertising/PR Manager

Renee joined the Athens Veterinary Service in February of 2004. She works with office and business management including HR duties.  She enjoys working with public relations, advertising and managing the clinic's website and facebook page.  When not working, Renee likes to go snowmobiling and camping with her family.

Certified Veterinary Technicians


Lead Certified Veterinary Technician

Jan started at the Athens Vet Service in February of 1990.  She has worked in several aspects of the clinic.  She has studied on her own and became a certified technician in 2005.  Jan is currently our Lead Technician.  Jan enjoys raising beef cattle on their hobby farm with her husband, Rob.  They like to travel together as well.  Her love of gardening and cooking keeps her busy!    


Lori Ann

Lori Ann started her career in the veterinary industry in 1987 as a certified veterinary technician and has been part of our team since November 2003. Lori Ann works in the front office as well as managing the inventory. While not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and children on their beef farm.



Mary joined the Athens Veterinary Service in February 2008 and has been state certified in Veterinary Technology since the mid-1980's. Since then, Mary has extended her education by becoming a 2012 Massage and Rehabilitation graduate from the Healing Oasis Wellness Centers Post-Graduate Certification Program. She is committed to her professions and keeps current in advancements. Mary is licensed to care for large and small companion animals as well as farm animals. We are very happy to have Mary as a part of our staff.


Veterinary Assistants & Lab Assistants


Mindy started at Athens Vet Service in December 2020. She went to school at NTC in Wausau for an Associate Degree in Animal Science. She is currently studying to become a certified veterinary technician. She is also low-stress handling certified. Mindy enjoys working with all species of animals. She enjoys being outdoors and traveling.



Shelley started her career at the Athens Vet in April of 2018.  Shelley grew up on her family's dairy farm and is no stranger to helping with all kinds of animals.  She and her husband, Joe, enjoy their own hobby and beef farm.  You can find Shelley either working at our front office, in our laboratory or assisting our technicians and doctors.  We're happy that Shelley has joined our veterinary team!


Becky joined us in July of 2020 as a lab technician and a veterinary service assistant. She is using her passion for animals to contribute to our practice in a variety of ways!
When not at work she enjoys spending time with her daughter and family, as well as being outdoors.


Veterinary Service Assistants


Nicole has been with the Athens Veterinary Service since 2005. She works as a veterinary service assistant as well as manages the Pro Health Network App and our online store.

Nicole enjoys spending time at the lake with her family and friends, as well as spoiling her pup Milo.



PR & Advertising Assistant

Morgan started her journey with us in September of 2020. She has recently taken over our social media and website! She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2019, with a bachelor of science in animal biology and animal behavior. Morgan has a background working with a variety of wildlife along with pets! When not at work, Morgan likes to hike with her dog and spend time outdoors.


Anita started with us in the summer of 2020. She works in our reception area and helps with large animal and farming clients.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, bowling and taking her dog Max for walks.



Bob joined the Athens Veterinary Service in 2011 as the custodian. He works in maintenance at the clinic and is a true “handyman.” We are fortunate to have such a talented employee.
